CAPRSS Accreditation Academy – Orlando

Accreditation Academy

Accreditation Academy is a two-day intensive training specific to the national standards for Peer Recovery Support Service (PRSS) delivery.   Participants will learn about the accreditation process, the standards and elements of performance to better prepare their organizations and PRSS programs for CAPRSS Accreditation. For organizations and programs newer to PRSS delivery, this academy identifies key building blocks for service build up and build out. Participants will also be able to create a strategic plan to address areas for infrastructure build out as it pertains to meeting national standards and delivering authentic and transparent Peer Recovery Support Services to the communities they serve.

The CAPRSS Standards can be viewed as an external guide used to assess the capacity and efficiency of a PRSS program, in that programs that are applying for accreditation will be evaluated on the extent to which they can demonstrate their ability to meet the standards.  But the standards can also be considered a guide that a PRSS program or new and emerging RCO can use to conduct a self-inventory,  to learn more about areas of excellence and the areas that may need improvement.
